and I've seen on many Genesis forums and things people want to learn the chords for this.
So I watched the Musical Box [Em] play it and I watched Hackett play it _ via YouTube
and I believe these are the chords.
Okay, so this _ is normal tuning.
There's no funky tuning going on here.
_ _ Yeah?
[Bbm] And this is a Godin [G] A12 _ _ _ _ [A] natural. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ I'm going to add a bit of reverb. _ _ _
_ _ [Em] But the chords _ [E] are_
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Take your middle finger [Bm] on [B] the F sharp note.
_ Put your pinky _ on the G string on the 4th fret. _ _
So you're playing a B.
_ Your first finger goes on the E.
The low [E] E there. _ _ _ _
[B] _ _ _ That's the [Em] notes that you're ringing.
_ _ _ _ [Bm] This finger is muting the A. _ _ _ _ _
So you're playing a low [E] E.
_ _ _ [B] _
Now you take that shape [Em] _ and you slip it up to the 5th fret.
Okay?
[G] _ _ _ _ _
And then you slide up [Am] to the 7th. _ _ _
_ [G] _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _ _
[B] _ All the while playing that [E] E. _ _

You're playing an [Em] E minor here.
But you play a G here.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [C] _
_ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _
The A string and the E string are silent. _ _ _ _
_ Then the same again for an A minor.
[Am] _
_ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _ _
_ [C] _ No [Em] one seems to care.
[Am] They carry on as if nothing [E] were. _ _
_ _ _ _ [Bm] Now this is the tricky part.
_ _ It's weird. _ _ _
First [Ebm] finger on the F sharp [G] note.
And your third finger on that E flat.
And then you play the 4 strings. _

And you just rake your fingers across those 4 strings. _ _ _

_ _ _ _ And I'm hovering like a fly.
Etc.
